All Chem Now Offering Bonded Warehouse Services

All Chem Now Offers Bonded Carrier and Warehouse Services All Chem is kicking off the new year with an exciting announcement: We are officially approved as a Bonded Carrier and Warehouse through U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)! That means we now offer chemical transportation and storage for shipments not yet released by customs for our customers, in addition to our already impressive array of amenities and chemical transportation services.

What Is a Bonded Warehouse?

To put it simply, a bonded warehouse is a specialized storage space where companies can store their goods while all of the paperwork and procedures of the customs process are finished.

As we at All Chem know, regulations are crucial to safely conducting business in this industry. We’re big proponents of going above and beyond regulation requirements, never cutting corners where safety is concerned. From what we have seen—those regulatory processes can sometimes take a while! That’s why bonded warehouses can be such an important link in the chemical transportation chain.

Imagine you’re an international company, looking to transport a bulk liquid load from your headquarters facility in one country all the way to your distributors in another. Once the shipment arrives on our shores, the merchandise needs to be customs released in order to make final delivery. Duties and fees must be paid, taxes assessed, and paperwork processed. If it isn’t fully released by the time the container has arrived to port, it could take time to finalize clearance. Meanwhile, your ISO container needs somewhere to go!

In this situation, a bonded warehouse provides the solution. These government- or privately-owned facilities serve as “duty-free” holding zones where companies can store their loads until they’ve dotted all the I’s and crossed the T’s.

All Chem Gets It Done

We’ve always been passionate about giving our customers a “one-stop-shop” experience. From chemical transportation, loading or transloading, equipment servicing, storing, washing, steaming, and more, we handle every stage of the job so customers don’t fall prey to multi-vendor syndrome. The last thing we want is a customer struggling to manage multiple invoices and carriers just to get one shipment delivered!

We want to offer our ISO container customers access to a secure bonded warehouse, so their chemical transportation experience is as streamlined as possible. Our ISO container depot is already a full-service, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-compliant facility, with rigorous safety protocols and extensive storage capacity. We knew that a bonded warehouse status would be yet another feather in that cap!

That’s why in 2024, our team saw an opportunity and contacted CBP to start the application process to become a Bonded Carrier and warehouse. We gathered all the paperwork, collated data, vetted all employees who would be tasked with handling the bonded ISO containers, and outfitted our facility with the necessary equipment and signage to comply with all CBP and Partner Government Agency (PGA) regulations.

When CBP came for the walkthrough site visit, let’s just say we passed with flying colors! As of December 12, 2024, CBP authorized All Chemical Transport Corp. as a Bonded Carrier, with a Class 3 (Public) and Class 4 (Bonded Yard) bonded warehouse.

“This is a great step for us at All Chem,” said Anthony Coruccini, our COO. “We’re proud to have another service offering we can make available to our customers.”

So, if you’re looking for a “one-stop-shop” chemical transportation bonded carrier you can trust to haul and store your loads and make the trans-national customs process navigable, turn to us at All Chemical. We’re covering all your bases for you, so you can rest easy!

2024: A Year of Chemical Distribution Success at All Chemical

2024: A Year of Chemical Distribution Success at All Chemical Ever have a year that brings the unexpected?

Here at All Chemical, we certainly have. We didn’t know in January that 2024 would see our chemical logistics network expand through another location. We couldn’t have anticipated the pricing pressures from shippers, the marketplace changes, and the regulation uncertainties we’d face.

But as we reach the end of 2024 and look to the future, there’s one thing we can predict. In season and out of season, we’ll still be here, holding true to our customer-centric, safety-first values and commitment to service excellence that make us the trusted choice in chemical distribution.

All Chemical’s Biggest Achievements with Chemical Logistics in 2024

It’s official! All Chemical’s new terminal outside of Houston, Texas opened this year, jumpstarting our already growing presence in the state’s chemical logistics scene. We expanded our customer base in the greater Houston area, and built out our on-site dispatch support and a team of local truck drivers.

Plus, the Texas terminal means greater diversification for the All Chemical family. Adding this new location to our roster establishes another area to support our customers and expand our reach within the chemical distribution and transportation industry.

Finally, we’re proud of how well we weathered the industry’s storms this year. Despite considerable pricing and shipping pressures, we kept to our core service commitments as a company. As a result, we were able to continue growth and market share throughout the year, finishing strong and primed for whatever 2025 might bring.

All Chemical’s Biggest Chemical Distribution & Logistics Challenges in 2024

The distribution of chemicals always brings challenges no matter the year, and 2024 was no exception.

2024 brought significant uncertainty with governmental regulations around chemical logistics, given the presidential election (as well as certain regulatory goals within our home state of NJ). We weathered these storms, relying on our established history of innovation and our team’s capacity to pivot and troubleshoot. Our team is our strength!

All Chemical’s Biggest Innovations in 2024

Our company has a reputation for pioneering innovation in our industry, as we implement new technologies, make creative pivots, and launch inventive problem-solving strategies. In 2024, we made significant investments in upgraded camera systems on our power units, which allow dual-side blind-spot recording on our tankers. Already, this has proved useful on several occasions, illuminating unloading discrepancies, resolving motorist complaints, and facilitating accident investigations.

Against this backdrop of chemical logistics innovation, we are fortunate to work with a strong group of customers. With that comes expectations of exceptional customer service and an ability to deliver. As we consistently invest in cutting-edge equipment and champion innovative technologies, we continue to empower our team to deliver exceptional service—even in changing post-Covid market conditions, where the industry is still processing excess capacity and shippers have more options for moving their shipments than in the recent past.

Our Takeaway for the Year Ahead

Here at All Chemical, 2024 reinvigorated our commitment to our customers and solidified our confidence in our team with chemical distribution. As we adapt to the changes to come, we’ve cultivated a superior service model over decades, and that remains our key differentiator. Our customers know there’s nothing we cannot, will not, or do not do for them. Grounded in that foundation of service excellence, we have a strong position to continue growth into 2025 and beyond.

Navigating Environmental and Seasonal Challenges in Chemical Transport

Navigating Environmental and Seasonal Challenges in Chemical Transport “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds”—that unofficial motto of the US Postal Service could easily apply to the chemical logistics team here at All Chemical! After all, chemical transportation comes with just as many—if not more—challenges due to environmental and seasonal factors.

And during our decades in the chemical transport business, we’ve honed our preparedness for them all.

How All Chemical Faces the Environmental Challenges of Chemical Transport

As a national company, we provide chemical logistics services to customers across the Northeast corridor, the continental US, and even into Canada. That means we’re familiar with the way chemical transport challenges change from place to place. With terminals in New Jersey, Delaware, North Carolina, and (most recently) Texas, our dedicated teams of certified truck drivers and support staff have the knowledge and experience to respond and adapt to these changes.

Our company protocols enable us to navigate several of the environmental challenges found in the chemical logistics industry:

  • Having the infrastructure in place and using maintained equipment to avoid spills and leaks
  • Taking the utmost care and following proper procedures when disposing of chemical waste
  • Staying current on regulatory compliance rules and complying with state and federal agencies when transporting and disposing of chemicals.
  • Educating our staff through ongoing training on the risk of accidents and environmental disasters and how to avoid them.

Here is how we enable our staff to handle these environmental challenges: first, through rigorous training for our truck drivers, credentialed through the Smith System driver safety program and CDL-certified with Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) and Hazardous Materials Endorsements (HME). Our team’s expertise means we’ve foreseen and prepared for all eventualities, tailoring our chemical logistics to the challenges of the environment.

Then, there are our local teams of on-call employees, ready to respond 24/7/365 if emergency strikes. At each of our terminals, we operate with on-the-ground support and an established network of strategically allocated services and equipment. On the road, we even have partners nationwide for any tank washing and steaming services a chemical logistics job might call for.

How All Chemical Faces the Seasonal Challenges of Chemical Transport

As if environmental challenges weren’t enough, seasonal realities present their own set of challenges for chemical logistics—and here, too, we’re already steps ahead. Our emergency protocols and proactive strategies make us prepared to face any number of seasonal issues:

  • Outfitting our trucks for the hazards of winter driving
  • Monitoring risk levels for forest fires each summer
  • Creatively adapting strategies to transport chemicals with temperature sensitivity
  • Maintaining solar panels for backup power in the event of an outage
  • Keeping detailed plans of action for extreme weather events like floods, hurricanes, and fires, as well as chemical storage plans in case of emergency
  • Using advanced insulation techniques to protect products from seasonal temperature fluctuations

In our industry, we’ve learned it’s smartest to “expect the unexpected.” When it comes to chemical logistics, we plan for weather- and season-related delays:

  • Summer increases in construction and rising demands for water and power
  • Severe weather events leading to decreased visibility and unsafe road conditions
  • Late spring and early summer graduations, leading to higher numbers of inexperienced drivers on the roads
  • Winter snowstorms and black-ice accidents

Whatever the season, you name it, we’ve prepared for it! We support our truck drivers and customers alike with 24/7 dispatch at the ready, helping keep drivers and products safe on the roads.

Contact us today and partner with a company whose risk mitigation game can’t be beat!

Announcing All Chemical’s New Texas Terminal

Announcing All Chemical’s New Texas Terminal Exciting news! All Chemical is expanding our chemical logistics operation to a new terminal in Channelview, Texas (a suburb of Houston)—the latest addition to our growing roster of terminals!

We can now boast of thriving local chemical logistics hubs in New Jersey, Delaware, North Carolina, and Texas; and we’re thrilled to tell you all about this latest chapter of our company’s forty-plus-year story.

Founder and owner Steve Quadrel had this to say about the new location, “When I started All Chemical in 1978, it was me and my truck. Over 45 years later, we have terminals in four states and employ over 130 drivers. It’s an exciting time to expand our services in Texas.”

Chemical Transportation: Why Texas?

As a trusted trans-national chemical logistics company with growing numbers of satisfied customers in the Houston area and beyond, it was an important opportunity for us to open a new terminal in the region. With business booming for us in the Northeast corridor, we knew the time had come to share our chemical transportation expertise and services from a local foundation.

Until now, the Texas-based chemical logistics work we’ve done has been entirely built from the outside in. We send in a driver, who completes an in-state haul, and then heads back out to cover work in other states. This new terminal opens a whole new landscape of possibilities for us as a company—and for the customers we serve.

And the theme of those possibilities? Local, local, local! We can hire local drivers, use local trucks, domicile locally, preload, stage hauls with a local foundation—you name it. Working locally means we benefit the community, our team, and our valued customers, all in one fell swoop. Everyone wins!

The Texas Terminal Scoop
Curious about the new location? We’ll keep you in the loop as our expansion plans come to fruition over the coming months. Fresh from the construction successes of our Lakewood terminal, we’re excited to see the Texas construction unfold.

As we outfit our new building to the exacting safety standards we’re known for, we’re proud to offer a wide array of chemical transportation service amenities:

  • Transportation services
  • Storage services
  • On-site dispatch support
  • A dedicated team of vetted local drivers

True to our reputation as a company that consistently stays ahead of the curve, we’ve already got our sights set on future expansion for steaming services at our new Texas terminal. What we’re saying is, don’t be surprised if you soon hear of a steaming sequel to our expansion story!

Another added benefit to this expansion is immediate access to a local truck repair shop for fleet testing, repairs, and preventative maintenance. This partnership will not only benefit our drivers in the area, it will also increase our customer service support.

As COO Anthony Coruccini steers the chemical logistics business end of the project, and our Director of Safety Don Wrege handles compliance and staffing, we’re already pursuing multiple leads in the area as our customer base grows. Soon, the Houston area will be home to plenty of new customers just as enthusiastic about the All Chemical service treatment as we are about providing it.

Anthony Coruccini said about the new location, “The expansion is exciting – we have a budding reputation in the area. A number of our existing relationships also have large-scale operations in the Houston area, so it was organic in growing an operation out of that area. Being able to partner with a long-standing and reputable repair shop also makes the transition that much easier.”

We’ve already seen the chemical transportation magic happen in and around our Lakewood headquarters. Now, it’s time for the magic to come to Houston.

HAZMAT Storage & Transport: The Ultimate Guide

HAZMAT Storage & Transport: The Ultimate Guide When it comes to HAZMAT storage and transport, we at All Chemical are as knowledgeable as it gets. We take chemical hazards seriously. You see, as a company led by our values, we care about our employees, our customers, and the communities we serve. And for us, that means keeping our safety standards high as a HAZMAT carrier.

Nowhere is this more important than the storage and transport of hazardous chemicals.

Storing and Transporting Hazardous Chemicals

There’s a reason HAZMAT symbols and chemical hazard labels show up in so many movies and TV shows right before something explodes! When handled correctly, we will safely transport these materials to their final destination, minus the drama. Hazardous chemicals are just that—hazardous. To store and transport these vital materials, countless regulations and rules must be followed with the highest degree of precision.

These regulations govern many areas of consideration:

  • Temperature control of materials
  • Containment protocols
  • Primary and secondary hazards
  • Shipping, packing, handling, and transloading protocols
  • Emergency training and preparedness
  • HAZMAT endorsements for drivers
  • Properly maintained HAZMAT storage containers
  • Chemical hazard labels, placards, and marking

Numerous state and national organizations have codified regulations surrounding chemical transport, especially where it comes to HAZMAT storage and loads: from the Department of Environmental Protection’s Discharges of Petroleum and Other Hazardous Substances (DPHS) Program, to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) Hazardous Materials Rules, and more. Only carriers with impeccable safety standards achieve compliance ratings like ours.

That’s because at All Chemical, our thoroughly vetted and certified team of professionals are well versed in every detail of these regulations. Our impressive stock of ISO containers cover all our customers’ HAZMAT storage containers and transport bases. We are a trusted provider for power, water, and pharmaceutical companies (including nuclear power plants), as well as governmental agencies and Fortune 500 companies, precisely because of our stellar track record with handling hazardous materials safely and well.

Because of how serious HAZMAT transport and storage is, carriers must walk the safety walk, not just talk the talk. This means:

Knowing our reputation for safety, compliance, and complete trustworthiness, it won’t surprise you to learn that All Chemical has been in the business of ticking all these boxes from the start.

So, if you’re lost researching HAZMAT storage containers, protocols, and chemical hazard labels, give us a call! With more than four decades of experience in the liquid bulk chemical transportation industry, we’re prepared down to the smallest detail. You can count on us to haul and store your loads with the utmost precision and care.

Common Pain Points in the Distribution of Chemicals

Common Pain Points in the Distribution of Chemicals Customers come to us disillusioned from their experiences with other carriers in the distribution of chemicals, suffering from similar logistics issues. Once you’ve been in the chemical distribution game for as long as we have (four decades and counting!), you start to notice certain themes.

When it comes to the distribution of chemicals, there are some common pain points most people encounter before they find us. As it turns out, these pain points are interrelated.

But even more importantly, they can be avoidable in most cases.

At All Chemical, we know these pain points well—and we’ve designed our operation to rescue you from them!

Logistics Issue #1: Multi-Vendor Syndrome

This pain point is so common we gave it a name: “multi-vendor syndrome.” We see it constantly, with customers contracting with one carrier for transit, and yet another for storage, washing, and servicing. Suddenly there are multiple points of contact, invoices coming from all directions—even product transfers gone wrong that were unnecessary in the first place. The more links in the chain, the more places the chain can break.

Instead, at All Chemical, we handle every aspect of a haul from start to finish. As specialists in the distribution of chemicals, we provide every service our customers need in-house. No more juggling several vendor relationships with their separate fluid logistics issues! We give our customers the full-service treatment, offering a wide array of services from tank washing and steaming, to storage, loading, transloading, equipment servicing, and delivery.

Logistics Issue #2: Equipment Limitations

Then there’s the problem of carriers’ limited equipment offerings. We hear regularly from customers who contracted with a chemical distributor, only to find out after they’d taken load possession that the carrier’s operation doesn’t have the precise equipment needed for a later stage of the haul. Sure, sometimes the carrier can refer out, contract with a second or third vendor to fill in the gaps. But the problem with this? You guessed it—it leads directly to multi-vendor syndrome.

We at All Chemical prefer to head off this issue at the pass. Our growing intermodal fleet and cutting-edge equipment can handle an astonishing load capacity array, safely hauling chemicals of most varieties such as hazardous, non-hazardous, food-grade, Kosher, organic, and inorganic.

Logistics Issue #3: The “Size Paradox”

A final common pain point plaguing customers is the “Size Paradox.” Customers trying to avoid frustrating customer service experiences associated with big carriers often opt for a small, hands-on, Mom-and-Pop-style carrier, hoping that they’ll get quality attention and prompt service.

But then they find themselves victim to issues of equipment limitation, as the small carrier can’t cover all the bases the job needs. (This discovery always seems to happen right in the middle of a job!) Suddenly, the customer is trapped in multi-vendor syndrome, frantically juggling several vendors just to complete a single haul.

They come away swearing never to go through such a headache again. So, for their next haul, they opt for a big-name, big-operation chemical distributor, hoping equipment limitation won’t be a problem and multi-vendor syndrome won’t ever come up.

And that’s when they discover just how awful it is to be nothing more than a number on another invoice, waiting interminably on hold, not even sure who to talk to about any logistics issues that arise.

We hear story after story from customers who land in messes like these. Through tireless effort and commitment, we keep our business in the sweet spot: where our dedicated team is small enough to know every customer we serve, yet our operation is large enough to cover all the bases you could possibly need.

So, if you’ve suffered from these common pain points in the distribution of chemicals, give us a call. Discover for yourself how we at All Chemical can put those pain points in your rearview mirror—for good!

Making Connections in the Logistics and Supply Chain Industry at ChemEdge

Making Connections in the Logistics and Supply Chain Industry at ChemEdgeWhat do chemical logistics, static electricity and dumpsters all have in common? They were all topics of discussion during Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD)’s ChemEdge 2024. This four-day event included Responsible Distribution and Regulatory workshops, a valuable conference, and a trade show for people in the chemical industry. From the exceptional speakers, engaging panel discussions, and casual networking sessions, it was a unique opportunity for members of this trade association to gain insights and knowledge from subject matter experts and each other.

Each year our team at All Chemical Transport Corp. attends ChemEdge. Katie Woods (project manager) and Jayda Santiago (billing support) participated in the conference and discovered new approaches to enhance operations and keep safety top of mind.

Here is more from Katie Woods, where she shared her experience of the conference.

Katie, tell us about your career journey in the logistics and supply chain industry at All Chem.
I started working at All Chem seven years ago in Customer Service. I quickly transitioned into a position within our dispatch department where I was able to put my logistical skills to the test. When the opportunity arose to spearhead the development of our container depot, I jumped at the opportunity. What began as a small project to oversee two small accounts, was grown quickly over the course of two years into a fully functioning depot. We now operate seven heavy lifts and have dedicated an entire team to the transportation and handling of up 2,000 ISO containers. Now, as a project manager, I am in a hands-on role supporting the continued growth of the business and I am actively learning more about the chemical transportation industry every day. ChemEdge was an important event for me to attend as I am finalizing the development and implementation of All Chem’s ACD Responsible Distribution program. This program created by ACD is a comprehensive framework for continuous improvement in chemical storage, handling, transportation, and disposal.

Top row: Presenter at ChemEdge 2024; Katie Woods, All Chemical Transport Corp. and Gerard Braud, Situation Hub Bottom row: Jayda Santiago and Katie Woods from All Chemical Transport Corp.; Jayda Santiago from All Chemical Transport Corp.

It was your first time at ChemEdge. What were your impressions of the conference?

When I first arrived, my first impression was that everyone there truly wanted to be there. The first sessions we attended during the Responsible Distribution workshop really showed the members’ dedication to the program itself and it was great to see everyone actively participating in the sessions. The level of interaction and engagement at the events was impressive, with everyone from salespeople to CEOs actively taking part in group discussions and sharing valuable and useful information. It was truly motivating to see people genuinely trying to learn about the current changes in the industry and share information. You could really see that each speaker truly cared about dedicating their time and put considerable effort into making each session interesting and relevant to the topic at hand.

Which sessions had the greatest impact on you?

While all of the speakers had valuable information to share, I found these three sessions to be the most informative.

“What Lies Within: The Danger in your Dumpster and other Enforcement Tales”
This session by Russell Ide from Valley Solvents stood out as my favorite. It really shed light on the risks lurking in seemingly harmless items, such as paint cans or fuel additives, when disposed of improperly. The emphasis on hazardous waste management and safe disposal methods was particularly helpful, making it a memorable and impactful presentation. The slides were powerful and the information he presented showed the risks we take as a chemical handler.

“Hazard Area Static Control”
Presented by Richard Puig from NewsonGale during the Responsible Distribution Pre-Conference Workshop, this session used scientific data and visuals to share how important hazard area static control is and how to properly protect yourself and your facility when working with volatile chemicals. The presentation utilized graphs and charts in a way that even a layman could understand, and Richard did an excellent job of showcasing just how easy it is to make a devastating mistake. It was a harsh reminder to be cautious when handling chemicals.

“How to Evaluate the Hazards on an SDS”
Peter Downing’s (from Environment & Safety Solutions) session on Safety Data Sheets (SDS) was also extremely informative and helped to better my understanding of how SDS are created. At All Chem, we take chemical safety seriously, and it was an important reminder to review each SDS individually because the people who write them are usually not the people who use them. Inaccuracies and incorrect information could cost someone their lives and it’s our responsibility to protect our workers.

What did you like most about the conference?
Each session offered valuable insights for everyone, no matter their role in the chemical transportation industry. It’s great to know that anyone, even someone outside of the industry, could attend this event and could learn something new. I also enjoyed the trade show, where I was introduced to other companies and learned more about their services and solutions and what they had to offer. I also bumped into Gerard Braud from Situation Hub. His company provides crisis communication services, which we use at All Chem.

What were your takeaways from ChemEdge?
The primary goal of ACD is to educate members on the responsible handling of chemicals. Chemicals are everywhere in our lives, and it is crucial to have a sense of awareness about their potential dangers. Most people don’t realize that chemicals are in the everyday products we use such as soap and beauty items, and understanding the nature of chemicals we interact with is essential. These substances can be found throughout our homes and offices and should be treated with respect. Without people like us taking on the role of handling the dangerous chemicals that we use every day, the world would come crashing to a halt.

At All Chemical, we understand that we are not just people working in the chemical industry, but we play a critical role in a larger community. Our work is important in providing the world with necessities such as food, drinks, healthcare products, pharmaceuticals, and clean water. This conference was a reminder to me that without the contributions of individuals in the chemical industry, many aspects of our daily lives would be significantly impacted.

Distribution of Chemicals: Making Supply Chains Possible

Distribution of Chemicals: Making Supply Chains PossibleRetail operations rely on an efficient supply chain to function smoothly to ensure everything runs as it should, which also includes distribution of chemicals. Chemical distribution plays a critical role in maintaining year-round operations, ensuring a reliable supply of essential chemicals. Customers like ours address logistics challenges, especially during peak seasons like the winter holidays, which requires meticulous preparation in advance.

From the consumer perspective, the retail calendar sometimes seems to move at a breakneck pace. But when you pull back the curtain, you start to see the logistics issues involved in keeping the whole thing going.

At All Chemical, we’re the ones managing the distribution of chemicals that’s needed to make everything else possible: keeping the lights on, the stores’ climate controlled and stocked, and the supply chain moving smoothly.

And the only way to do that is to always be thinking ahead.

Why Chemical Distribution Matters

Bet you never considered chemical distribution as one of the logistics issues involved in preparing for holidays! But it’s true: the fluid logistics industry is a key player in making holidays possible. At All Chem, we count it as an honor to perform the crucial work of transport that is the foundation for all the merry-making enjoyed during these times—not to mention keeping the supply chain intact all year long!

For a store to function, you may need the following:

  • Chemicals for running, maintaining, and cleaning the store’s HVAC system.
  • Bulk cleaning supplies available for regular use and to uphold public health and safety.
  • Chemicals involved in any refrigeration systems (in supermarkets, for example).

You could think of the distribution of these chemicals as the cornerstone: that crucial piece without which a foundation cannot stand. And of course, without a solid foundation, the structure itself will fall. Reliable and safe chemical distribution is a must!

Though holidays year-round place demand on supply chains, the biggest by far are the winter holidays, from Thanksgiving to New Year’s. As anyone who’s worked retail could tell you, shopping spikes to surprising levels during those months, and companies have to prepare for that expected surge far in advance. The same goes for trucking companies like ours. We plan the routes and loads our customers need at any time of year, and especially when there’s an uptick in need.

Planning Ahead for Logistics Issues

All Chem customers know we’re conscientious: we never cut corners, and we map out every eventuality, keeping track of each logistics issue involved in a single haul. Our Customer Service team holds to their three central values of accurate tracking, timely communication, and proactive problem-solving.

Our emergency preparedness is top-notch, and our drivers are among the safest, most highly trained and vetted professionals in the business. Thanks to our thorough planning, we’ve earned our reputation as a consistent, reliable carrier in the chemical distribution industry.

So, next time you’re browsing the aisles at your favorite store, just imagine us, working hard behind the scenes on the logistics issues involved, and know we’ve got your back. Because we’re on the job, you can rest easy knowing the supplies you need will be there—right on time!

Contact us today to find out how All Chemical can help with your ongoing chemical distribution needs and how we can prepare you now for your busy seasons.

Decked Out with Driver Certifications at All Chemical

Decked Out with Driver Certifications and Endorsements

All Chem Drivers Have the Knowledge for Safe Transport

By Don Wrege, Director of Safety & Maintenance

Let’s talk about safety.

In the fluid logistics business, there’s no topic more important. (But then, as Director of Safety and Maintenance here at All Chemical, maybe I’m biased!) Our team takes safety seriously, and nowhere is this more apparent than in our driver certifications.

Drivers at All Chem are a notch above the rest in many ways. They’re loyal—our turnover rate is one of the lowest in the business! Our drivers love their jobs, and it shows. They perform to a high standard of professionalism. They know the roads, the loads, the customer’s needs—you name it. They’re fluid logistics pros.

One of the marks of their professionalism? Their impressive array of driver certifications and credentials we require our drivers to obtain.

What’s In a Certification?

Anyone familiar with fluid logistics knows that safety is no laughing matter. When you’re talking about bulk liquid transport, you absolutely must have people on the job who are fully certified and knowledgeable in the handling of hazardous and non-hazardous products. In my four decades of experience working within safety, compliance, and maintenance for this industry, I’ve seen it time and time again: the better the safety training, the better the outcomes. For all of us.

That’s why certifications matter. Yes, we put our drivers through Smith System’s rigorous safety training every two years, uphold OSHA compliance, and keep our fleet and equipment maintained to our exacting standards. But we don’t stop there. We ensure our team of dedicated drivers come equipped with highest professional driver certifications:

  • Class A CDL certification. Commercial drivers licenses are issued at three class levels: A, B, and C. Our drivers all have Class-A certifications, to ensure they can haul the varied tankers and loads we manage at All Chem.
  • Tanker Endorsement. Only drivers like ours, with tanker endorsements through the Department of Motor Vehicles, are licensed to safely operate tankers.
  • Hazmat Endorsement. Drivers who achieve this additional endorsement have proven they have the training and knowledge necessary to safely transport hazardous materials.
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC©) Card. Drivers with this card have special security clearance to secure areas of US maritime facilities and vessels.
  • SeaLink® Card. Some of our local drivers are registered with The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. This card allows All Chem drivers to move quickly and safely through their marine terminal gates.

All Chemical’s Drivers: Ahead of the Pack

There’s a reason we’re as loyal to our drivers as they are to us. These folks prove every day that they are top of their profession! Plus, our drivers are tech-proficient, working with Motive fleet management tools to maintain EDL compliance and TenStreet for ongoing computer-based training.

And it’s not just our drivers who hold such outstanding credentials. As a company, we care about industry standards, protocols, and environmentally responsible practices. That’s why we’re certified through the Smith System and through the SmartWay® Transport Partnership, in collaboration with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

We’re also a member in good standing with the following associations:
